The Inglewood Heritage Cooking Project

A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF INGLEWOOD’S I–SHAIR (Inglewood Senior History Artist in Residence) PROGRAM

A collaborative public art project with senior community members of Inglewood which resulted in an artist cookbook, video piece, and hand embroidered book covers produced through participatory workshops during the three month residency at the new Inglewood Senior Center. This project documents and preserves our shared culinary history by drawing upon the heritage of planting and cultivating our own food, preparing family recipes, and sharing meals around a table.
